Before the Session

 

My availability is unique and limited because giving your family my undivided attention is of utmost importance. Prior to your scheduled photoshoot, I’ll focus on getting to know your family’s personal needs in order to curate a memorable experience. 

After booking, I'll send over a "Discovery Form" that has a few questions about your vision for the photoshoot. If you plan on borrowing from the studio wardrobe, you’re more than welcome to schedule a pre-session styling appointment to pick your session day attire! There’s also a studio stylist that mommas can book for hair and makeup on session day if desired.

You can expect genuine communication from me every step of the way. I will ensure that everything is in place to create stunning memories that your family can pass on for generations. 

 

 

Session Day

 

You aren’t required to show up with anything but yourself (and your kiddos—don’t forget them!). I’ll be waiting for you in my Chardon, Ohio photography studio, ready to cater to your family’s every need. 

There will be plenty of time to get situated, so no need to rush upon arrival. 

My studio is full of accommodations, but an overabundance of props isn’t one of them! While I do have a handful of natural props, wooden blocks and toys for toddlers, Moses baskets, high chairs, and a few other goodies, I do take pride in capturing minimalistic photographs that showcase your family. I use a unique blend of classic heirloom photography and a photo-journalistic approach during every session - ensuring we get those "smile and look at me" photos (or what I like to call, "the photos for the grandparents"), as well as candid connection, snuggles, and more.

I have a selection of wraps, headbands, and bonnets available for newborns and your family is always welcome to dress themselves in garments from my studio wardrobe. I have a size-inclusive collection of maternity gowns and designer dresses that are flattering to the postpartum momma, along with newborn-3T outfits for the kiddos, and even shirts for dads.

When you aren’t getting your photo taken, feel free to relax in the lounge area and enjoy a snack, drink, or cup of coffee from the studio snack station.

 

After the Session

Whether you prefer a collection of digital images or would like a full service ordering experience complete with options like: custom heirloom photo albums, wall art, fine art photo prints, birth announcements, holiday cards, and more, I have something for everybody. We will discuss before your session whether you'd like to come in for an ordering appointment or handle all of your image selections online.

 

While I know there is undoubtedly a use for digital image files, nothing replaces the power of printed photographs. Take pride in knowing that you are investing in the preservation of memories that your family will cherish for years to come.
